Why I'm Running

Life costs too much. I'll fight to fix it.

Groceries. Gas. Prescriptions. Insurance. Everything costs more, and wages haven't kept up. Meanwhile, politicians in Harrisburg give tax breaks to special interests and leave us with the bill. I've had enough.

I'm running because families in Latrobe, Ligonier, Derry, and across the 59th deserve someone who'll actually fight to lower your costs—not protect special interests.

Lisa Gephart was raised in Westmoreland County. She graduated from Connellsville High School, then went back to school while raising her family—because she knows how hard working families work.

As the daughter of a union household and spouse of a retired PennDOT employee and AFSCME member, Lisa learned early: you don't get anywhere without a fight.

A lifelong Democrat, Lisa serves on both the Westmoreland County Democratic Committee and the Pennsylvania State Democratic Committee. She's not new to this fight.
